5b. cl. grotei Protzen or Upssala 3091

Pronunciation: gro-tee-eye

Meaning of name: named after its original collector, Mr. Protzen

 

Reports on 5b. cl. grotei ‘Protzen’ show that it was collected in 1987, but the details on the environment and elevation were not given. The harvest was made in the East Usambara Mountains in the Muheza District in Tanzania. The collector was G.A. Protzen whose name has been often used to identify this clone.
